Attempt to connect to the scanner via the stored wifi name. If a connection can be established, ensure that the scanner's product tag is in the system list of valid products.
- The variable
persistentValues/SCANNER_WIFI needs to exist, and contain the wifi name of the local scanner.
- Stores the scanner's connection information as
temp/SCANNER
- Establishes scanner-connection
- On success: The scanner could be reached and validated
- On product reg. error: The scanner is not enabled by the system, i.e. not in the list of valid products
- On generic error: A connection to the scanner could not be established
